About the event
On October 9, 2026, the Persian Learning Center celebrated Mehregan, the ancient Persian festival of friendship, kindness, and gratitude, with a wonderful gathering of students, families, and friends.
The celebration began with engaging and informative presentations by Jina Khezri and Dr. Zhoobin Bateni, exploring the history and significance of Mehregan, along with fascinating stories from the Shahnameh, the Persian epic. A short educational film further brought these traditions to life.
Children received special keepsake books about ancient Iranian history, encouraging them to connect with their rich cultural heritage.
Guests also learned about the traditional Mehregan table and the meaning behind its symbolic elements.
The evening continued with delicious food shared by families, Persian music, and joyful activities for children.
The celebration was filled with laughter, warmth, and a beautiful sense of community. The enthusiastic participation and positive feedback made the event truly memorable.
